The Process

The client is a leading global firm with its shared services center in 7 countries, including India. One of the tasks performed from a Global Shared Services (GSC) is employee onboarding. The As-Is process comprised repetitive administrative tasks and manual processes based on legacy systems. The employees being onboarded were from multiple countries and subsidiaries, which had its own processes and systems. Hence, Intelligent Automation was looked at to automate the employee onboarding process.

Our Solution

The solution comprised a combination of our technologies to ensure the successful automation of the process. The first step was to apply Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR) to extract as much data as feasible from the purchase orders and define tags for the data obtained. After this, our Natural Language Programming (NLP) solution was used to read the instructions field and create meaningful action from the instructions. Lastly, Intelligent Process Automation (IPA) was used to take this extracted data to update the systems and route the specific actions derived from the instructions to particular teams for completion.
